Hey there! As many of you know, I'm in the process of making a move to Houston! Can you believe?
After being in Roswell for almost 24 years, and after being one of the last surviving Atlanta natives, I'm heading to TX for my third stint in the Lone Star State.
My husband, Scott, made the decision to re-locate in order to accept a position within his company...as a Media Engineer. And since Houston seems to be doing some building, whereas most of the rest of the country is not, it seemed like the exact right thing to do. He really felt "led" to make this move at this point in his career and life, and so I guess I'm going, too!
He has been there since mid-November, and I'll be joining him later this spring, when I can complete the current choir season at Roswell UMC.
Of course, I've gotta find a job there - and so if you've got friends or connections who have contacts within the church and educational community there - tell them that I'm on the way!
(No kidding, if you know folks there, forward this email to them!)
Our son, Randy, is now a JR. at Houston Baptist University - in his double major of Religion/Christian Studies AND Visual Art...so he's going to have to get used to having mom and dad so close-by again. But I'm glad that we will at least be within 30 minutes of each other, if for no other reason than to see him when he needs to do his laundry!
Please post your news or thoughts or ideas...always glad to have info about my buddies.
